It’s officially the holiday season! If you’re going to be in the UK or Ireland for the next few weeks, make sure you check out all of the special holiday-themed events and attractions!

Many cities open outdoor holiday markets during December. These often include stalls selling handmade crafts and unique gift items, as well as street food vendors and plenty of hot chocolate! Often these holiday markets are accompanied by small scale fun fairs including a carousel and carnival rides or even a Christmas tree maze. Here is a list to some of the best holiday markets in Europe!

Ice skating is a popular winter activity across the UK. Many ice skating rinks appear from the end of November and into December, and most will allow you the opportunity to rent your skates at the rink, so don’t worry about bringing your own! Whether you fancy yourself the next Michelle Kwan or you’ve never stepped foot on the ice before, this is a fun activity that can help you get a bit of exercise while celebrating the season!

If you happen to know you’ll be in London on Christmas Day, we’ve found a comprehensive list of what attractions, restaurants and transport will be open all over town. Check it out here!
