Recently, UCEAP England students had the amazing opportunity to attend a special exhibition at the Musuem of London, entitled Sherlock Holmes: The Man Who Never Lived and Will Never Die.
The visit began with lunch at the Museum’s restaurant before students had the opportunity to enter the exhibition, which covered the vast history of the Sherlock Holmes character and his unbreakable ties to London itself. The expansive collection included everything from Sherlock Holmes creator Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original manuscripts to Benedict Cumberbatch’s coat from the recent BBC adaptation of the the infamous character. With antique photos of the London fog described in many Sherlock tales and video comparisons of different on-screen interpretations of the detective himself, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The popular exhibit finished its run just three days after our visit, so our students were lucky to be among those who got to experience the incredible collection before it closed for good!
