Cooking Celtic

20150420_185629Taking a small study break in the midst of revision time here in Scotland, UCEAP students studying in Edinburgh and Glasgow became chefs for the evening and enjoyed a deliciously fun night of making (and eating!) traditional Scottish cuisine!

In partnership with the renowned Edinburgh New Town Cookery School, the Edinburgh Study Centre hosted a “Scottish Cookery Evening” earlier this week. UC students were joined by professional Scottish chefs to learn the ins and outs of making some of Scotland’s most popular dishes! The evening’s menu included scrumptious cheese scones, sweet shortbread and delicious bridies (Scottish meat pastries.)

By the end of the night, students left with full stomachs, delicious new recipes to try at home and some great tips on how to chop, mince and crimp like a true Scottish professional!pic 5
