Spending Time With Royals Whilst Studying Abroad

Posted by

If you love the romance of the British royal family, there’s no better place to study abroad than the UK! As a case in point, UC Irvine student Kate Vu spent this past Spring studying abroad with UCEAP at the University of Bristol, and was outside the Lindo Wing for Princess Charlotte’s first public appearance.  A self-proclaimed fan of the royal family, Kate had the following to say about her moment with the royals:

It was probably one of the best things that happened during my abroad experience because it’s not everyday you get to see royalty or the birth of a new royal baby. Also, being a royal family fan myself, I was so happy to be able to see them in person!

Kate’s story is also a great reminder that you don’t just have to study abroad in London to get a true English experience – with the UK’s extensive train system, it’s possible to pop down to London for a special event and still be home for supper!
