On 2nd April, our UKI UCEAP students made their way to the southwest of England for the 2016 Spring Trip. Hosted by the London and Edinburgh Study Centres, the trip departed from bustling London and made its way around the green and tranquil English countryside. The weekend was no shortage of lush foliage, fresh air, history, and a whole lot of fun.
The first location was Stonehenge, an iconic World Heritage site and one of the most instantly recognizable prehistoric monuments in Europe. The students then made their way to Lacock Abbey, a location featured in popular media like Harry Potter and Downton Abbey.
After an evening spent in Bristol, the group travelled onwards to see the Roman Baths in Bath and had a chance to explore the town.
The trip’s final destination was the breathtaking Blenheim Palace, home to the 12th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
During the trip, the Study Centres held an Instagram competition for the participating students as a way to showcase their time abroad; here are the winners!
