Being a student representative has not only enhanced, but also challenged my Manchester student rep meeting croppedtime abroad. I wanted to make something of my time in the UK and when this opportunity was presented, I decided that it was time for me to step out of my comfort zone. I am so grateful to have been chosen to represent my Host University because this position has challenged me to be more outgoing with my peers and to have more confidence in myself in regards to planning and Meeting #3 - Pieminister croppeddecision-making. As a student rep, I gained extra insight into my host city as I found myself constantly searching for new places to try and experience during our meetings. Although difficult to balance at times, I would not trade this experience for anything else. I am so thankful for this opportunity as it has gifted me with lasting friendships and useful life skills. I know that my semester abroad would not have been the same if I had not applied for this position!
