How is it already October?! September flew by as we welcomed all of our Fall and Year 2016 students to England. With students attending over a dozen different host universities all over England, we’ve been quite busy! Each orientation spans three days, where students learn about life and academics in the UK, and get the chance to explore some of London’s most famous sights, cuisine, and theatre as well. It was a blast!
Food: It wouldn’t be a proper welcome to the UK without some fish and chips in an English pub, right? Some of our more jet-lagged students were falling asleep into their mushy peas, but we enjoyed a proper first meal!
Sightseeing: We took our students on walking tours, up on the London Eye, and put them on a riverboat cruise down the Thames (and taught everyone how to pronounce it correctly, of course!).
Theatre: We got to see some great shows all over London and the West End too! Among some of the plays and musicals we caught were A Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, In the Heights, and A Comedy About a Bank Robbery.
Hopefully everyone is settled in nicely at their new host universities by now – can’t wait to see you all soon!
