We are seeking enthusiastic students to help with University of California Education Abroad Programme (UCEAP) orientation activities in London. The main role is to support the London Study Centre (LSC) staff in orientation activities and welcome UC students to the UK. You will assist with cultural activities throughout London and engage in conversations with newly arrived students from California about issues surrounding living in the UK and being a student at a British university.
You must be open and friendly, ready to assist, and enthusiastic about studying abroad. You must be a confident communicator and ideally have some experience working with groups or in a customer service capacity. We also expect a high degree of professionalism.
Your assistance is sought for the shifts listed below and you will receive a stipend of £8.00 per hour.
Successful candidates will be expected to attend a 60 minute training session on 11th September at 3pm at LSE Bankside Residence, 24 Sumner Street, London, SE1 9JA.
The following shifts are available:
SHIFT 1: Friday, 15th September: 10.00am-5.00pm (7h)
SHIFT 2: Saturday, 16th September: 9.30am-11.00am (1.5h)
