Glastonbury Tor, one of England’s most famous landmarks, is a cone-shaped hill made up of narrow field terraces, topped with roofless St Michael’s Tower. The site is known as being one of the most spiritual areas in the country with a long religious history of pagan worship and celebration.

Ireland's largest land mammal is the red deer. The main herds are based around the lowland areas of Killarney National Park and the best time to catch a glimpse of these beautiful creatures is in the early evening!

It's Shrove Tuesday in the UK today, aka PANCAKE DAY! Most Brits make crepes as the standard pancake (American pancakes are called... American pancakes, Scotch pancakes, or drop scones) and the classic way to enjoy them is with a sprinkling of sugar and a good squeeze of lemon. Jam, nutella, maple syrup also acceptable.

Feeling nostalgic for all the snow we had in Edinburgh that melted overnight.

Giant's Causeway is a spectacular rock formation not far from Belfast in Northern Ireland. According to legend, Irish giant Fionn mac Cumhaill built the causeway so that he could reach Scotland and fight with Scottish giant Benandonner. 😎

This doesn't include those speaking Irish within the education system! Irish remains a compulsory subject within schools and continues to be used on signposts, government documents and for public transport audio. 🙂
